Epilogue
Her radiance was reflected in the dark crimson burgundy in her glass. She was smiling. She was, Raymond Armond thought, even more lovely than he had ever seen her.
The ornate silver tray displayed it all in front of him.
On it lay the heart, the hand, the brain and the small silver vial that he had only heard about.
"They are yours," she smiled, "my gift to you. You are whole again, Raymond Armond. You have paid your settlement, and you have served me well."
